The Chrisleys are people who you either love, or you hate. Say what you will about patriarch Todd Chrisley, but his family has amassed quite the following. And after an impressive nine seasons, it would appear that fans still want more. But will there be more "Chrisley Knows Best?" Rumors of a coming cancellation have been circulating for some time, but those invested in the family may not need to worry. Here's what we know about "Chrisley Knows Best" Season 10.

The show follows father, multimillionaire real estate developer and entrepreneur Todd and his wife Julia as they raise their family in the heart of the South, per Country Living. And while they are certainly not hurting for money, the family experiences more than its fair share of drama. Todd is known for running his businesses and his family with an iron fist — something that doesn't always go over so well with those who interact with him. Like any great reality show, it is the drama that moves the plot along; and the Chrisleys have it in bulk.

It isn't an overstatement to say that Todd and the Chrisley fam have people invested in their lives. According to NBC Universal, "Chrisley Knows Best" is averaging around 1.5 million total viewers. What's more, the series is among the top five cable series on Set Top Box VOD in 2020. These impressive numbers could motivate the network to keep both "Chrisley Knows Best" and the spinoff, "Growing Up Chrisley," around for some time.

The verdict on Season 10

Todd and Julie Chrisley's future as television personalities remains uncertain based on a June 2022 conviction — the United States Department of Justice provides some detail. "Todd Chrisley, Julie Chrisley and their Certified Public Accountant, Peter Tarantino, conspired to evade the assessment and payment of the Chrisley's income taxes. The Chrisleys and Tarantino knew the law was clear on taxable income and who is required to file and pay taxes," said James E. Dorsey, the special agent in charge of the IRS criminal investigation into the couple.

U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Buchanan further detailed, "Before Todd and Julie Chrisley became reality television stars, they conspired to defraud community banks in the Atlanta area to obtain more than $30 million in personal loans. The Chrisleys, with the help of their former business partner, submitted false bank statements, audit reports, and personal financial statements to banks to obtain the millions of dollars in fraudulent loans."

In an ironic turn of events, details as shared by Us Weekly include back-and-forth accusations, an illicit affair, revenge, spurned lovers, and more — the exact type of story that can build a great television series could instead jeopardize their own television careers.

Vanity Fair notes that both Todd and Julie could face up to 30 years in federal prison. CNN cites attorney Chrisley Bruce Morris, sharing that the couple is "disappointed in the verdict," but that "an appeal is planned." Sentencing is scheduled for Thursday, October 6, 2022, at 9:30 a.m.

Chrisley Knows Best cast

The cast of "Chrisley Knows Best" is, and always has been, the members of the family. Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie opened their home to the nation, sharing tender and tense moments with their children Chase, Savannah, and Grayson, as well as grandmother Faye, per TV Guide. The show has aimed to be inclusive of the various members of the family throughout its numerous seasons, but the kids aren't really kids anymore. Their older ages and understandable distance from their parents makes the show's famous bedtime routine (as seen on YouTube) somewhat obsolete.

However, the gang has remained pretty steadfast in their willingness to live the reality TV life. Despite their participation, there's no arguing that the show has changed throughout the years. And those changes have some fans understandably concerned that the show has run its course, particularly when it comes to the multiple locale changes. As one fan wrote in a Chrisleys Reddit thread, "I love the show (though it's not as good as it was in the beginning), I've seen every episode. How many houses have they lived in? I think three in Atlanta and two in Nashville? Why do they start so many things and never finish them?"

Does that mean that the full cast won't return for a potential Season 10? Not necessarily. Future seasons of the Chrisleys may need to adjust for both ages of the family as well as legal status.

The Chrisleys haven't shied away from the spotlight and viewers have become used to the crew sharing concerns both small and large. As a reminder on where we left the family, Todd Chrisley shared that it wasn't all smooth sailing when speaking about their 2021 holiday special with E! News.

"It was so difficult for me," he said. "My mother decided that she wanted to host Christmas, and Christmas was always a big thing for her when we were growing up. But she's older now and I try not to put anything on her. I want us to do the heavy lifting. When she said, 'No, I want to do Christmas, I want to do it my way,' it was like ... she doesn't have good taste. This tree is going to look like a damn Charlie Brown Christmas tree and that's not what my kids have grown up with."

As the family comments on recent goings on, and continues to open their lives and their home to viewers, it's fair to assume that we haven't seen the last of the Chrisleys yet.

Deadline reports that the second half of "Chrisley Knows Best" Season 9 will begin airing on USA networks on June 23. The recent bank fraud and tax evasion conviction is not reported to be changing this date or the number of episodes, as sources tell Deadline the season had been "filmed before the couple's trial." The same sources as shared by the publication, however, are not as sure about a Season 10, noting, "A decision has not been made." Regardless of these issues, that doesn't mean tv-land is done with the Chrisleys.

If the Duggar family has taught us anything, it's that when family elders fall out of favor — theirkids can still get a spinoff.

In addition to Todd and Julie's children Chase, Savannah, and Grayson,Us Weekly shares that adult children Kyle and Lindsie are Todd's children through ex-wifeTeresa Terry. All five children already have listed appearances on the show with IMDb, as well as breakout star and grandchild Chloe Chrisley."Growing Up Chrisley" already features both Chase and Savannah in a Los Angeles spinoff, so there's room for the southern crew to expand as well.

What do you think, should we expect a Chrisley kid takeover for Season 10?
